Not Again

Condolences to family and friends of CUMULUS Oldies KCMO-F/KANSAS CITY afternoon host DAVE MUNDAY, who died SUNDAY of cancer in LEE'S SUMMIT, MO at 53, according to the KANSAS CITY STAR. MUNDAY (real name MICHAEL B. STEPHENSON) worked at several KANSAS CITY stations, including KFKF, KMXV (MIX 93.3), KCFX (101.1 THE FOX), and the KANSAS CITY CHIEFS RADIO NETWORK, and served as track announcer at KANSAS SPEEDWAY for the last seven years. He was a great guy and a great jock, too. He always had a smile and aput down.
One of the best in KC radio history. Done way too soon.

This is sad to hear. Dave spent a some time in Sedalia, although I am not sure when. I do know this he would bring extra copies of free Record Company records to me which I always welcomed. Smaller stations did not get many comp copies and he helped out a bunch back in the day.
